The AHEC Digital Library (ADL) is your portal to AHEC library services, information, and education. The ADL ensures that all providers in the state have high-quality health information readily available through a variety of membership categories, ranging from access to free resources to paid subscriptions. By using the ADL, you can get full-text journals, books, and electronic databases of the literature, as well as links to carefully evaluated health information websites and clinical and educational tools.
Please feel free to contact adl-questions@ncahec.libanswers.com to learn more about membership, resources, or to request help from a librarian.

New Search
The ADL has introduced an updated website featuring a revamped search bar designed to streamline resource discovery. This enhancement improves navigation, making it faster and
easier for users to access essential medical, educational, and clinical materials.
Single Sign-On
The ADL and MyAHEC will now feature Single Sign-On (SSO), allowing users to seamlessly access both platforms with one login. This update simplifies access to resources, reducing login barriers and improving user experience across educational and clinical tools.
Statewide Access
The AHEC library network serves healthcare providers in every county in North Carolina. In 2024, we delivered 13,743 documents and had 33,336 reference transactions, ensuring that medical professionals have access to essential information and educational materials.
Extensive Electronic Resources
The ADL offers access to a wide range of electronic databases, full-text journals, and e-books covering various medical
disciplines. This includes resources like Medline, CINAHL, and The Cochrane Collection of Evidence-Based Medicine Reviews, enabling professionals to stay informed about the latest research and clinical guidelines.
