At the end of this independent learning module, participants will:
Understand the differences between academic writing and creating writing.
Understand basic work flows for preparing and submitting a manuscript.
Become familiar with the Journal/Author Name Estimator tool.
Learn to use the Journal/Author Name Estimator (JANE) to identify potential journals to submit your manuscripts to.
Cut and paste the text of the paper title “What are the current best practices for osteoporosis prevention?” into the JANE tool and review the articles the estimator lists as potential target journals based upon this title. Understand that you can also put key words or an entire abstract into the tool as well. JANE has more functions than just helping you list potential journals for your work – please review the other key functions of the JANE tool described under the “Welcome to Jane” header on the webpage.
